Cornell announces manana and GMAT IV
Tommorrow, Cornell announces their acceptances. Best of luck everyone and congrats to those who have been getting acceptances from other schools this past couple of days.GMAT
I had my fourth GMAT class tonight. We covered algebra today. I think the most interesting area brought up that I didn't pay much attention before was the quadratic formula. Exponents were covered quite extensively as well.
None of the material was new to me, but I liked going over the material again. I also like the fact that we went over quite a problems in class and that we have a good number of assigned problems to do. We went over some number property DS(Data Sufficiency) and PS(Problem Solving) questions. That was good.
I find it interesting that the assigned homework from this week and last week has volume and rate problems. I asked the instructor about that after class and he said that we would be covering those topics later on. I find that kind of weird that we would be assigned problems that covers material we haven't gone over yet. I'm fine with it, but I'm not so sure about my fellow classmates. I know one gentlemen mentioned that he had to go to other resources to get info on it. But the rate problems really aren't hard.
Interestingly, I'm finding that 1/2 or more of the class have not been doing the assigned homework. I should be studying harder. I'm paying too much for this thing. On a side note, I'm trying to keep my books clean so that I might be able to sell them. I'd like to get some of my money back.
Funny thing
During our GMAT class break, one of the students asked me if I had a Blog. Aparrently, his friend sent him a Blackberry message in the middle of class asking if a guy named "Dave" was in the class. I guess, a visitor to my Blog put two and two together and realized that their friend was taking a Veritas class as well. This Blog sure makes my world smaller. I gave my blog address to a few in the class after that because they inquired what kind of information was on my Blog. Well, if you guys are reading this.... Hello! Welcome to my Blog. As I said before.. be kind on your comments!
Accounting Class
I got my results back from my accounting class. I got an A. The Accounting II class starts next week. I'm not looking forward to my schedule starting next week. I'll have accounting Tues, Thurs and GMAT class Mon, Wed.
