Well, it's official, Tuck has completed most of their decision announcements for the January round two week early. The decision for me was a ding. E-mail sent to me early this morning.

Dear Dave,

Thank you for applying to the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. After much thought and careful consideration, I regret to inform you that we are unable to grant your request for admission to the Tuck Class of 2007.

I expected this actually. I think my interview didn't go very well. I felt that I rambled and wasn't prepared enough for it. But I mostly think my GMAT score did me in. I had gone in with the "hope for the best, expect the worst" mentality. I don't really know how I feel. Sad, numb.

Well, about my Cornell application. Since I've not heard from then yet and it's less than two weeks before the decision date.. I'm going to assume that it will be a ding there as well. Geez, it's two weeks before the decision date and I haven't even received a call about an interview. Seems like the writing is on the wall at this point. Dang Dang Dang (Censored.......)

Why... I'm guessing my GMAT score is a big problem for Tuck and Cornell primarily when comparing my score to other applicants. I've just got to do much better on it.

I think I will sign up for that Veritas GMAT class. Although it's not official, I'm now considering myself as part of a potential Class of 2008 rather than 2007. I know this sounds morbid or fatalistic... but I really think my GMAT score is just killing my chances. Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement yesterday.
