Looks like it's that time of the year again for the MBA Business Contest. This years 7 finalists out of 31 applying schools are Emory, Univ of Texas (Austin?), Yale, Western Ontario, Michigan, UCLA, Wharton and Wake Forest.
I guess it was just a matter of time that an MBA program just for women was founded. India, Bangalore will be the first 1 year program. Founded by UCLA Anderson's visiting scholar, John Talbott. He'll also be a prof there.
Doren Spinner, an HBS graduate shares his story of how he used "search funds" to get his business started. Although an interesting article, I was shocked to read that search funds are usually 70% avail to Stanford MBA's and 30% to HBS grads. I doubt this is true. So I wonder if the writer is misinformed or overly zealous about Stanford and HBS. Article
