Overall, I must say that I'm fed up with the whole thing now. I still think it's a bunch of PR crap at this point as I still point the fault to "apply yourself".
They are getting away from this so cleanly. That's upseting. Harvard is just too good a media target in all this and they are doing an amazing PR job to force the blame on the applicants. When a hacker broke into VISA, the blame went to VISA not the hacker. The spin here is that Harvard and Apply Yourself should have done a better security job and they know it. That's what they are covering up.

Give me a break. Seriously, Harvard should write a case study on how well they spinned a bad situation of an unsecure software they only used, but didn't develop.
