Princeton Review releases their Best 282 Best Business School Ranking

This Princeton Review Best Business School book is revised every year. It's rather hard to assess this thing because, in my opinion, certain numbers force schools to be compared to one another in unfair and unjustified context. For example, I don't agree with the "Greatest opportunity for minorities" ranking. If you brought in a Hispanic who graduated from Harvard Business School and one from Howard University, this years number one in this category, I don't think the Howard guy would get the best opportunity for the job if you know what I mean.

In reality, you'd have to have the same student spend a good amount of time at various schools to compare their experience with another school. What I mean is, one graduates' ranking of 10 in a particular category may actually be a 6 at another school. It just doesn't match up. It comes down to what the limitation or expansion of your experiences have been in being able to create a reasonable ranking. It's like a good wine. You may be ok with drinking a Mondavi Merlot standard $20 bottle. But then try a $1,500 bottle of Screaming Eagle wine and then you'll see what you've been missing all along. Naturally, your view of the Mondavi Merlot would probably decrease quite a bit.

I think the first 3 rankings have a little weight with me. A little. The rest cause me to frown or cause me to say, "what" or "you're kidding.. whatever" a lot.

In either case, rankings are fun. The media is having a field day in announcing though. And I guess... I am too. Enjoy

Princeton Review Best 282 Business School Ranking for 2007
This year we surveyed more than 18,000 students at 282 business schools and used the information that they reported to us, along with school statistics provided by school administrators, to create 11 ranking lists. None of these lists purports to rank the schools in terms of overall quality; but by using the lists in conjunction with the Students Say profiles and the school statistics, you will be able to identify the attributes of a business school that are important to you—and ultimately, generate a list of the schools that can best help you achieve your personal and professional goals. We wish you the best of luck in your business school search!

Why is that so hard to believe..technically they could just do a ratio of (# accepted)/(# applied) with the lowest score winning..that could be a defined as difficulty to get in to and would be a matter of public record..so I don't see how you think they are unvaluable or false because they may very well be based on facts and not judgements at all.
