First Year Students in the Class of 2008 and their families enjoy a picnic on Grounds before the academic year began Monday, Aug. 21. The Class of 2008 made history as soon as they arrived. The University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business officially welcomed its First Year Class Monday morning with a program in the Abbott Center Auditorium. The class consists of 338 students, the largest class ever in Darden’s 50 year history.
“That’s a clear indicator that Darden is the place to be,” said Darden Dean Robert F. Bruner. “Interest in Darden is at an all time high. This is an incredibly exciting time to be associated with the School.”
