Dave for MBA said...: Ganja, I don't know that dealing with the essays is based around a tool as much as it is based around an attack strategy.

Here is what I've done.
1) Take all the essays and compile them into one document.
2) Review them for similiarities and put them together based on type of essay question with a small paranthesis note as to which school the essay is for.

Doing this will reduce 48 essays into 25 unique types of essays.

Setup a timeline with school deadlines and tackle the essays based on several priorities that you decide upon.

1) prioritize essays based on deadlines of schools you consider more important to you.
2) prioritize them based on questions that are better to tackle first. For example, dealing with the "why an MBA" question is probably the best question to deal with because it forces you to build the framework of most every question that you'll answer. The self-analysis you do in answering this questions will also help you to understand yourself more.

3) Give essays to reviewers as you finish them. Don't wait till you've finished the entire schools set of essays.

Lastly, in all honestly I'd have to say that you know yourself the best in terms of time availability. Focus on what's important in your life right now and keep the things that cloud your judgement and clutter up your "thinking" life to a minimum. Learn to say "no" a lot during this time.; 8:41 AM
