If you've been following my Blog, you'll know that I spend quite a bit of time doing my application essays at Stanford. Well today, the Stanford Daily News reported that a Stanford Business School student was confirmed to have been killed by the Tsunami in Thailand.
Sometimes, what happens around us is better understood when we are able to relate more to the situation. His name is James Hsu (25 yrs old). He was in Thailand at the time with four other Stanford GSB students who were vacationing in Thailand after meeting business leaders in Singapore on a school study trip.
I didn't know him, but I have seen him once or twice around campus. That's the eerie thing. So much work to get into school. So much work to have gotten where he did and then poof! Gone. You know, life is a funny thing. No matter what we do or how we live, we all suffer from the fact that all lives have a 100% mortality rate.
