Not much to report today. Spent the entire day focused on prepping for my midterm tommorrow. Thank goodness I saw the professor in his office hours today. He told me things not to prepare for and handed me some sheets and said, "here, you really ought to know the info on these sheets." I copied it all down. How nice!
Later in the day, as I was studying, a guy next to me at the coffee shop said that he took the class I'm taking not too long ago. I asked him about some areas I wasn't sure how they might be tested and he gave me some key info on what to expect. Namely, the numbers and stats of things. I wasn't expecting that level of detail for some sections. So I've drilled that into my brain now.
Another interesting note. I've been studying at the campus student center and there's this lady there who studies all day with me across from me at a different table. I got the gumption to say and introduce myself as we were both leaving becaue they were closing the doors of the study center. Turns out shes studying for her medical boards having completed Med School. Then she mentioned that she saw me studying quite a bit for the GMAT the last week or two. She commented that her husband is starting his second year of his USC MBA and that he's 36. YEAH! That was encouraging to hear.
Ok, so I made some additions to the B-School application and deadline list to the right. Based on the survey conclusions from last Saturday, I added nearly all the schools info there for the benefit of those visiting this weblog and for those who took the time to fill out the Survey. Haven't added the International schools though. Still have to add a few more schools though, but I'll be tracking those schools for you all. The latest and greatest results are shown and I've audited each school to verify whether their new deadlines and apps are out yet or not. Thought it was the least I could do.
One note on weblogs. If you don't know about bloglines yet...... please check it out. It's an excellent and efficient way to monitor various weblogs without going to each and every one to check on them. You won't know whether the person has a new journal entry or not. So go to bloglines.com. Create an account. If you want to be notified of new entries being posted live time, you can download the notifier. It's free. You can add others weblogs after creating the account. It won't inform you about changes they make to their sidebars though. That's why in my weblog, I've included an e-mail notifier whereby if you submit your e-mail address, I would notify you via e-mail as soon as changes are made (i.e. a new MBA or GMAT resources is added. Or a new school app deadline is out).
To add all the weblogs initially may be a bit of a pain, so to help start it, I've included my list here. Once you get bloglines going, you can use this file to import the weblogs subscription I monitor, which are MBA based. You can add and subtract from it as you wish once you import it. You can get the file by clicking here.
